What`s your thoughts on fast fashion vs slow fashion?

"Especially in this pandemic, we can see that fast fashion is not sustainable. Smaller and sustainable brands are trying to educate consumers on how to buy sustainably. Before people bought because it was sales everywhere but now but I think people are starting to think " what do we really need", and prioritize. I think everyone likes and does fast shopping sometimes but I think we really do get more realistic on what's needed and maybe fast fashion will take a hit at some point if the awareness continues to grow. We all got a different budget, of course, we can´t all buy pieces that are high-end. We just have to figure out how to be sustainable in the long run. Larger fast fashion brands have to figure out a system for that, but I think it's gonna be hard. As a smaller brand, we can do sustainable options but it would be really cool to see the larger brands be more sustainable too".

Why is it important for you to show at Copenhagen fashion week this year?

"It's important because I´m danish, and I want to be a part of my own city. I have been in London for so long and now I've come back and brought a new perspective to things with my Scandinavian background and my time in London. With all this, I think I have a different point of view that I can bring to Copenhagen Fashion week. And I hope to bring my audience from London to Copenhagen fashion week as well".

What are your thoughts on the digital presentation of the shows this year?

"I did digital SS21, with a big show and art style. I like the digital aspect because as a smaller brand like NYNNE we can perfect the digital form as many times as we want until we get the message through the film we want to present. With a digital presentation, you also get a broader audience. Of course, it's harder to be innovative with showing the clothes through digital, in that way are digital presentations different. With the AW21 show, it has been really important that we show the clothes through details and how they fit. Of course, it's not the same as feeling it and touching it in real life but we are trying to make you almost feel what's happening".

How do you want your customers to feel while wearing the AW21 Woman for Woman collection?

For me, it's about feeling comfortable all the time, if you see someone wearing something comfortable and glamorous they shine. We all feel like that when we have THAT piece on, wow this is amazing! It's about confidence and feeling comfortable at the same time. Especially in these times when we have to be more comfortable in how we sit, feel and do things, it´s really important to have the "Woohaa feeling that you gonna rule this day!".

What are your future goals?

"The future plan is to expand, with care! We want to grow but grow steady, so we can follow up. We make our productions in smaller factories (family factories). We might start doing some jewelry in the future but also make pieces with new aspects. With the pandemic happening, our mindset has been "how can we keep a steady flowing". Therefore, at the moment we are taking one step at a time and grow organically".
