SHE IS A SWEDISH PHOTOGRAPHER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR BASED IN DUBAI. SHE TRAVELS ALL OVER THE WORLD TO DO DIFFERENT CREATIVE WORK FOR PUBLICATIONS AND BRANDS. WITH A FASHION FOCUSED PORTFOLIO WITH CLIENTS LIKE GUCCI AND HARPERS BAZAAR.

How would you describe yourself as a person?

Never really satisfied ... Analyzing (too much sometimes). Calm and I want to think I'm smart.

What is important to you in your life right now?

To do things that can be important and for real. To do what you really want. To spend time with my family and enjoy them and live life in the sense of doing everything you can to feel healthy and happy.

Why Dubai?

The quick answer is that we live for my husband's job. Why do we think it's a good place to live? The children grow up in cultural diversity and get a unique opportunity to create knowledge and experience and contacts for all time to come. Dubai may look like a polished surface only but you can also choose to drive out into the desert every morning to the stable and gallop into the sunrise (painted picture huh?);) For me as a stylist and photographer, it has meant opportunities to work with the biggest fashion brands in the world and create contacts.

What is your vision behind @_studio__k?

To create a visual experience that inspires and excites.

As a photographer, how would you describe what your "style" is? How do you see that it is your images?

I have thought an incredible amount about this. Many around me often comment that it is clear when I have done a job but if I am to be completely honest I can not clearly describe what that style is like. My ambition is to create images that stir up a feeling. (laughter, drama, whatever it may be).

You're the founder of Florence Owens, what's the reason you started the company given your background as a photographer?

I am also the founder of a children's clothing brand called Gardner and the gang and have worked in retail for a long time. When I started working more and more with women's fashion, it became clear that I really had a need to have my own brand and thereby the opportunity to have total control of the visual message.

As a self-employed woman, what is important for you to know or learn in this industry?

For me, is it about being treated the way you see yourself if that "makes sense"? If you diminish yourself for one reason or another, others will see you that way too. Woman or man. I think it is important to dare to ask for advice, to have someone to look up to who can inspire and support. To dare to take risks but also be able to decide when it's time to try a different angle. (easier said than done).

What can we expect from you as a photographer and creative director in the future?

I have a fun project "upcoming" with a big brand that I look forward to. I will also work a lot on making my own stories and further develop my style as (art) Not thinking so commercially is so liberating and often gives so much even in the commercial work as a photographer.
